But when it comes to towing, torque is what matters and the bigger motor would be preferred for that use.
"torque" is what matters to those that don't understand power.
Horsepower can't be multiplied via gears to make torque, torque is a nothing number without knowing the rpm, 1000ftlb,s torque at 500rpm is pretty pathetic power output, sound impressive though, if you don't understand the definition of power.
