Anyone used ocean-rated yacht hatches: replace the RV scrap?

Has anyone here ever replaced the typical plastic RV scrap roof vents with a real ocean-rated yacht hatch? Obviously, the cut-out size would vary to some degree (but this could easily be remediated...

Isn't the Permanone great! I've been using it since 1993 in the tropics, and here in the North. Never had a tic on me, nor flying biting insect(s) anywhere near my tent screens (I have 7 tents, and used to use them often); nor anywhere around the camper or fridge vents, or house screens!
