Coming recently to the TC world from the marine world while keeping a foot firmly in the marine world, I was struck that the similarities are very strong. The two big differences are the propane in the fridge and the fact that in a TC gravity drains the black water tank and on a boat you have to pump it out. Most everything else is the same. Marine hatches would certainly work and in general, the quality of marine parts is better than RV parts. The screen issue is a non issue. The hatch over my TC berth has a sliding screen from one side and a sliding shade from the other. The hatch on my boat, much better quality, has a similar sliding screen/hatch, also better quality, which I procured and installed easily myself.
