One issue you might encounter is that yacht hatches usually have a very low curb on the frame vs. RV hatches, and may not be quite as resistant to 70 mph horizontally blowing rain. And due to the low curb and low profile cap, most cannot be left partially open in light rain. Of course, the quality of the worst of them is better than the quality of the best RV hatch. Screens would no be a problem, nor would egress.
