I don't think I have a wind deflector, but in any case, did you replace a Heki? Mine is fine for now, but if you replaced a Heki, I'd be interested to know how hard it was. I think my Heki is wider than 24.
No it was one of the old nasty crank up flimsy with the red escape latch. check:
