  • Not a big fan of Geocel--at least the CA approved garbage I tried. It turned an ugly color, shrunk and began peeling rather quickly. Not saying you should or shouldn't use Dicor instead, but my opinion of Dicor is it's great on the roof, but only if applied heavily, like two applications. Doesn't last long otherwise.
  • I use the non-sag on vertical and the self-leveling on the roof. Like the job both are doing.

If so, what is you opinion of it?

    Dicor Non Sagging Caulk

Did you use the Dicor, if so how well did it work?

No, I haven't used the non sagging Dicor.
I used the self leveling Dicor on the roof of our old Lance. I worked great. Now I'm looking for window and door caulk and wondered what folks thought of it.

  • I have been using no sag dicor on vertical surfaces and seams for 10 years. No leaks. It will discolor with age but it stays put and stays sealed. Sticky as heck, wear disposable gloves when applying as it is a pain to get off of your skin.

I use Dicor. I had it with Geocel forever. I had a leak when traveling and found some Geocel. I had a great deal of difficulty sealing the leak when I was on the road and did not have access to a ladder. I ended up jockeying the RV so I could use a picnic table and could then just barely reach far enough to do the caulking. The next rain it leaked and I did a temp repair with duct tape. Months later at home I ordered new Geocel from Camping World. The caulk was partially set and would not seal. I ended up using Dicor. That was 5 years ago and the caulk job still looks and works like new.

I am not sure what happened with the Geocel. Perhaps some bad batches. Or maybe it has a short shelf life in the tube. I just switched permanently to Dicor. I use Dicor for both horizontal and vertical surfaces. I typically just order the non sag version since it will also work just fine on a horizontal surface.

I also used Geocel on a slideout seam. The Geo cel has shrunk and now I have gaps. I just ordered and received some no sag Dicor to use to recaulk this area.

  • NO.
Geocel Pro Flex RV Flexible Sealant is all you want to use on everything accept rubber roof. than leave the dicore for the rubber.
  • I use it on the vertical sections of the roof seams. If your windows are leaking the real fix is to remove and rebed with butyl caulk.
