Maybe the warranty work is sticking in their throats - not much of a money maker, often a real headache, and let's face it- you went out of State to buy a rig after going through "negotiations" with them.
Can't hardly blame them if they're thinkin' "you bought it in Idaho, get yer defects fixed there, too!"
Respectfully, I don’t agree with you; however, during that call, we were also inquiring about slide-out topper and filtration. Both accessory sales the local dealer would receive instead of the out of town dealer. Furthermore, there would be service work BEYOND the warranty work (over time) that they could earn as oppose to the selling dealer---a source of profit in both cases.
Clearly this is their choice--the issue sits with the manufacturer and their agreement with “authorized service dealers.” I am sure part of the pact is servicing warranty claims of all rigs in the area. Hopefully net/net this puts their dealership at risk for carrying this brand of RV.
