UPDATE:
We have now spoken to OutdoorsRV as well as the Idaho dealership we purchased our camper from. The level of service (this far) has been exemplary. Both are very concerned about the horrendous and astonishing response from our local dealership.
OutdoorsRV has assured us that the manufacturer will compensate 100% of all repairs. They have allowed us to choose a dealer of choice (we have gone with recommendations here and have an appointment with Evergreen RV). We are buying a topper for the slide from Evergreen RV. So in addition to (hopefully) earning our service work for years to come, they will also gain the benefit of all our accessory purchases.
The RV dealer game is one of relationship and service. This is driven by the reality that purchase frequency of RVs are much lower than cars. This means the primary game is selling accessories and servicing / repairs--fighting to maintain some kind of monopoly on the sale when you can not be price competitive is a sinking and loosing battle.
