I strongly disagree. A limited slip unit in a pickup without lockup hubs where the front spins all the time could be an absolute disaster on ice or snow--a very bad idea.
No newer Dodge or Ram HD pickup back to 2003 has any kind of "disconnect" in the front. The front spins all the time.
I disagree. TrueTrac is very different from a clutch style. Operates like an open differential until you need traction. The real beauty is when you feel it both differentiate and transfer torque at the same time. No other does this. Been on ice & snow with TrueTrac and it just works. No hazard or unsafe condition is created.
You say that's the case, but that is the actual, literal case when it comes to an ARB.
