I have to say that my '97 OBS 4x4 Crew Cab long bed is increasing in value every year. It's a very sought after unit and it's becoming collectable too.
I keep it because, one, it's been paid for, for 15 years and because I like a hood. So long as it's reliable and looks good, I see no point in buying a new truck.
It's been commented on various Ford Powerstroke forums that the 7.3's especially the pre-tier 3 trucks like mine will become extremely sought after units in the future.
I'll keep it. I like it and at 68 and retired, I don't want or need a payment book.
When I take it anywhere with the the RV, I always get comments about the outfit. People like looking at old iron and I enjoy driving it as well.
