I'm not aware of any built in overflow from gray to black. I kind of like the idea though. Does anybody know a camper that does that? I do know people who add a valve to the dump connector which then mixes and equalizes the tanks.
Leave the cap on the open the gray before opening the black. Shut the black first before it stops flowing. You'll be left with gray behind the cap but there are worse problems to have. You could also use a bucket to drain some gray and dump it down the toilet if you were desperate.
