- RFCN2ExplorerAll previous posters have been negative on extra exterior coating. So here is my 2 cents. Our coach had the extra coating put on 11 years ago. Today the paint polishes up like it was new.
- fla-gypsyExplorerNever IMO
- skipncharExplorerIn MOST cases it proves to be a VERY expensive wax job.
- SooperDaddyExplorerSince the #1 thing that damages an RV is lack of maintanence on the roof sealantand other seams, causing leak damage...keep up with the roof sealing! RV Roof Caulking is around $5.00 each.
#2 is probably UV sun damage to the seals, rubber, vinyl, plastics, etc. Get a gallon jug of 303 Aerospace Formula and use it! $45.00
No one here on RV.Net has ever said "man-o-man taking care of my RV is soooooo easy! ;)
You just save around $400.00 on the Dealers genuine worthless Snake Oil! - DutchmenSportExplorerOn our first TT we had that. It worked very nice the first year. Washing was a breeze and it stayed nice and shinny. (But then, even without it, I think the trailer would have been easy to wash and stay shinny the first year). Second year, it started loosing it's "luster". 3rd year I was putting wax on myself.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWhile you are having that exterior protection done don't forget the rust proofing, upholstery protection, wheel & tire protection and that extended warranty

X3 or 4 - ScottGNomadNo it's not worth it but if you really want it you can get it at a auto paint supply store for about $35 a gallon.
