Wow.. I was sitting here, wondering "what the heck kinda question is this?" and then reading the responses, I guess Im kinda shocked in a way that using the slide, in retracted position would be a problem.
Maybe Im dense.. been accused of that before. Either retracted or extended, there's nothing supporting the floor other than the thin plywood or whatever that is attached to the walls. so, why, if retracted, would it be any worse, than, extended?
I wouldn't jump on it either way, but Im not sure why using the slide in it's retracted (ie stowed) position would be a problem. There's nothing more supporting the floor in stowed mode vice extended mode.
