Are there any mfrs with bad overall reputations?

I'm not going to call out the company but we had all kinds of issues with one and when we asked how so many things could be wrong on a brand new unit and we were told it was built the week of Thanksgiving. They did take care of everything. This could happen with any of them in my opinion it has a lot to do with the mood of the employees the day the unit runs down the line.
