I certainly agree that they should be familiar with the product their selling or at least find the correct answer to a question instead of just pulling answers out of thin air, all that does is belittle the customer. I think like any profession, you have the bad ones and the good ones, you shouldn't lump them all into one useless category I can only imagine that the stresses of any kind of sales related profession has got to be pretty high, this month was great, this one stunk, I have to meet these sales numbers or I am in a bind etc..etc, I wouldn't want it.
Also, like gmcsmoke said, I already know all I need to know before I get to the lot. All I need the salesperson for is the sale.
