Are you waiting for delivery of new TT/FW too?
Ordered new 30ft TT November 2013. Built in February 2014, dealer explained it is one of (?thousands?) awaiting delivery across the nation. Built in Indiana, delivery will be to NH. My research indicates issues with delivery rates paid are not sufficient if the haul is over 500miles,(hauler can deliver and return in one day) CDL's, payment, empty hauls back to manufacturers, etc. About 1.25 mile no cdl, 1.45 with cdl, hauler pays all own expenses, including a 40k truck. NOt much left for earnings after expenses,. What is the answer? The industry has had a great year building new units, should the RV manufacturers invest in trucks to haul, and contract themselves? If the issue gets worse, customers could cancel orders, this in turn will hurt the RV recovery. What is a solution?
