The OP is accurately describing the current situation for many people. During the worst of the winter storms the RV builders were unwilling to ship RVs, coupled with an increase in orders/sales, a decrease in the number of drivers and no financial incentives (ie no change since fuel was much cheaper) the industry is in a real bind.
BTW, my understanding is that a CDL is required, along with the current insurance.
I don't follow the industry news, I live it every day....
I just told you that I can order a trailer and get it in 8 weeks.
There is absolutely no excuse to have ordered in November and still not have it.
