I am picking up a small loader/backhoe this evening that will be used to uncover my existing 4" sewer main that leads to my septic system. The intent is to cut the line and add a long radius combination tee-wye to it, so that I can dump my holding tanks at the house whenever we need to. I've bought everything I need to complete most of the installation, but the foot operated sewer cap won't be delivered until Tuesday. I will take some pictures during the install that I will post when I finish.

My dump ends with the same pipe as a sewer clean out capped by a regular rubber sewer cap, nothing fancy. Has served me well since being installed about five years ago. As you probably know, add a trap to keep odor from escaping. Sure is nice to be able to dump at home instead of in some questionable public dump.

Some septic tanks have two entries. One one each side of the inlet end.I used the inlet on the other side from our home. Plus I just use a screw cap. I installed a water fauset, RV electrical box and dump in the same area so friends can come in and hook up.

I went in the other direction and have been using a FloJet portable macerator for the past 10+ years.

We had public sewer clogging problems that once backed up into our house, so a few years ago I installed a cleanout near my driveway and capped it with a flapper valve. It doubles as my dump station.

I have BackFlowPreventive Valve in front of my house with 4" pipe after I remove the flapper, but since I would have to move my camper from normal parking spot, I found it more convenient to use Sewer Solution with 1" plastic pipe extension to dump.
Sewer Solution is using water pressure to grind and push the waste, so it is cheap to operate and having some slope, I can let gray water to go without the boost.
For those using septic tanks, don't you have a problem with RV waste?
After sitting in tanks for few days it is consider hazardous waste and I wonder if that is the fact, or just green propaganda.

We ran a 4" line to the septic system of the neighbors house right after it got sold but before the remodel was done... sweet set up for sure.

I had a contractor install a lne to the septic tank and a clean out next to the RV pad. He also ran a waterline and set a yard hydrant and ran 30 amp power to the pad. My wife was temporarily annoyed over the backyard excavation, but having utillities at the RV pad is more than handy.

Mine is capped with a threaded cleanout fitting and cap. I like that it's "secured tightly" rather than a foot operated doo-hickey

I am ever-so-grateful to the contractor who put in our sewer line for our pole barn. He was installing a cleanout, and I said "but there's one 25' up the line!" and his answer was "but aren't you dreaming of getting an RV some day? This is where you will dump it"

When I built a new big garage there is plumbing in it and I had the forethought to extend the sewer pipe outside the foundation to the side where I park the rig and can use it to dump my tanks. Very convenient.
