dumping at home
who here dumps down their sewer cleanout? park we are going to next week typically has an insane line to dump that I don't want to deal with.

- I have a dump for grey only.
Thankfully a few dollars from our RV tabs goes to fund dump stations at nearly all of our rest stops.
There's also Camping World. They don't mind if you pull behind the shop and use their dump station. Generally there's no one there! - I have a 4" pvc cleanout in my driveway (regrettably the wrong side of driveway but still close enough I wont complain) I'm not sure of a reason not to dump there. goes directly into the sewer. Black first grey to wash it down.
- Used to do it all the time at the last house. This one the cleanout is about 50 feet uphill from the closest place I could park, so nope.
- I do. It was a bit far to use a stinky slinky, but with the portable macerator, it's easy peasy. And I can do it at my convenience.

That is when a cleanout comes in handy. - I installed a dump station at my house upstream of our septic system. It was pretty easy to do if you have some knowledge about plumbing.

And hardly any rest stops have dumps in California...but we take the dollars! - good enough. no more long line nightmare and the wife will be please she doesn't have to be involved anymore.
