The first thing I would do is contact the dealer in writing with a copy to the factory. Just waiting for a return phone will not accomplish anything and the dealer can just sit out the warranty period.
As sad as it sounds, often it just better to fix something yourself. At least it was found before there was serious damage. Some dealers are inept even if they will agree to fix it. You don't want them doing a bad repair job that *might* look okay at first glance.
