He is not the first I had heard that from. If those aren't the differences, what are?
Also, as I purchased the truck used, how would I know if I have the camper package, with extra spring and sway? (I do have the factory 7way and the factory brake control.)
The auxiliary spring is the shorter spring on top of the standard spring pack. If you have that and the rear sway bar then you have the camper package.
Here is a picture.Another slight difference with the F350 ('11+) is it has a 4" block between the spring pack and axle. The 250 has a 2". All it does is raise the rear of the truck 2 extra inches so when you load the box up it sits more level and less likely to engage the auxiliary spring.
