Atwood hot water heater
My atwood hot water heater isn't burning hot enough with the flame.It lights everytime I turn it on. I see soot rising from the chimney. No issue with the propane. Any help would be appreciated

Just a guess - but if your rig is older then maybe the interior of the water heater has accumulated calcium/crud which might interfere with it's heating ability. You can clean this crud out by emptying the water heater and filling with vinegar solution and allowing it to soak for a day or so. Just a thought.
