You need to run the stove burners and the furnace to clear air out of the propane lines. Even then its going to take a bunch of tries to light the water heater as that line still needs to be purged of air.

i posted a photo of the unit i have here, i got it from youtube but mine looks the same, if i remember correctly , the troubleshoot instructions say to open the valve first , i was trying to work on this from below as the camper was 10 feet in the air, ill have time to remove it from the truck and lower it to whhere i can actually see whats going on and ill report back. to open the valve , i need to use an allen key yes?
