- loulou57ExplorerWe are Avalanche fans, have been since they came out. Of course some people will be turned of buying because this is the last year for them. We think GM is making a mistake but who are we, LOL Strange thing though dealers can't get enough of them. People are asking where can they get one before they are all gone. I think they marketed the Avalanche all wrong. That is why so many do not refer to them as a truck. Sad that this will be the last new one we will buy. Another mistake along with the Safari van, should not have killed that one either.

Wow, Ford's doing a fabulous job.
Their YTD percent change is lower than GM and RAM. That means they're losing market share. Their #1 sales volume means they were doing a fabulous job.
All 3 are doing great and it's good for all of us.
That is actually not necessarily true. It depends on the overall sales in the base and the mix within. Using just the vehicles in the chart Ford gained market share. If you only include F-series, gmc, silverado and ram, market share was basically a push. - wnjjExplorer II

Fair enough. I was just referring to the "pickup" trucks in the chart where Ford has a slight loss (22% vs 24-25%). I agree that it's pretty much a push.
The point is no one of the big 3 is dominating the new sales increases. - Perrysburg_DodgExplorer

All are doing great. The big 3 plus Toyota all over 20% increase over last year.
I am guessing the bottom 6 or 7 will not be around much longer based on those sales numbers.
Don't forget Fred Diaz is driving the ship over at Nissan. I'm sure he'll have a positive impact on that product line.
Having said that the Nissan Titan numbers are so dismal anyone with some common sense could improve that product line. Throw a V8 Cummins under the hood and you make the front line news and watch your product grow! :B
Troy are you trying to get me going? :W If Fred was so great why did Ram give him the boot, he went from president and CEO of Ram and Chrysler Mexico to divisional vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing, Nissan U.S. Hope he does better over there then he did with us. - 45RicochetExplorerAbout time you contributed some time and linked everyone up to these monthly reports Troy :B
How sweet is it seeing the economy finally looking up! 45Ricochet wrote:

I know it's easy to get you going so I'll back off... :p
But I got to say I never said Fred was great... Just that he'll have a positive impact on Titan since there production numbers are so dismal. Anybody with some basic common sense can turn that product around.- 45RicochetExplorerLets see here horrible figures, drop a Cummins in it and Bingo you save a company or brand. Sounds like Fred is doing okay to me from history :B That Datsun :B WILL sell well IMO.
No loyalty here tho - Engineer9860ExplorerA guy I work with just bought a new Toyota Tundra.
It is a nice truck but I don't see anything in it that you can't get in a Chevy, Ford or Ram. He did say his mileage with his 1st tank was only 15mpg. That number can easily be beat by any of the domestic 1/2 tons...... - _DJ_1Explorer IIWow, the Colorado and Canyon sure took a hit. Are they being discontinued? I remember the Ranger sales in '12 were pathetic. Couldn't be because they quit making them in '11!!!! :R
