Auto undercoat, POR 15, or ? on frame rails

Taking delivery of a new TT this weekend. I live by the sea, and am tired of sanding and painting TT frames. So, what's my best course of action? And if POR 15, which of their myriad of products over newly painted frame rails? Product, preparation, and technique suggestions would be appreciated.

  • You can use Amsoil HD metal protector, it goes on and dries to a waxy finish.
  • I believe POR (Paint Over Rust) is if you already have rust incursion. You'll want a different product. POR is GREAT for its intended purpose.
  • Spray the frame with fluid film or one of the corrosive x products. I can say that fluid film is good stuff...just spray it on. Corrisive x I don't know but they have some good products...like rejex.
