Autonomous vehicles and towing

I could see road trains of deliveries. The first position would have a human with AI assist and the ones following would be fully automated.

Are you referring to the Uber accident at night that involved a drugged out woman (verified she was using meth) crossing in the middle of an unlit road with her bike while wearing dark clothing and no lights? You give the typical human driver quite a bit of credit.

This is quite embarrassing. I wonder if the driver told the cops to give the ticket to the Tesla since he was not driving? :B



They have a loooooooooong way to go with self driving cars. They don't even have trains that have no human interaction. And trains can only can go in one direction.

Tons of improvements to me made on humans driving. Perhaps we could start with an annoying alarm when the driver is doing something stupid.

Speed 35. And I watched the video. there was time for a driver that was paying attention to driving, to slow, swerve. The self driving car did not even hit the brakes.

The accident with Uber's car was avoidable with technology. A number of things were done which caused the poor or lack of response. It did not help that the driver was inattentive in this test vehicle:

yep, but programmed by human intelligence. I'll accept these batmobiles when a human can program the vehicle for ALL possible "outliers" and situations.

Tesla does not make a self driving vehicle. Same outcome from ALL vehicles when you do not pay attention. Operator error.

Except trains actually travel in both directions on the same track, hello.

And many calls to automatically limit speed on trains after speed caused derailments caused by engineer error.

I wonder what will happen WHEN someone makes a virus to take over control of the car(s). Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

They should really correct the title of the article. A mistake in the middle of an article can easily be overlooked, however the title...
