I'm in the neighborhood of 70' long when I tow tandem. My aux tank is also one of the best additions I have made to my truck.
Old thread! Still I say what's so bad about fueling with RV in tow? I have since been towing at around 68' overall and have no issues double towing. I stick to truck stops.
This is my "auxiliary" tank.
Personally I prefer to simply not worry about where I need to fill up. I prefer to operate on my schedule, not the truck's fuel gauge's schedule. It's just one less thing to have to keep track of. And more rest stops at rest stops instead of fuel stops.
