I screw these 18-inch ground anchors into the ground around my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer just about everywhere we go. Tie off at each of the four corners of the raised roof using 15-foot 1/2-inch ratchet straps...
These 3-inch blade ground anchors leaves minimal marks to the ground area.

We also like to set-up a open tent sometimes over the picnic table... Nice sitting under this in the late afternoon when the mosquitoes start coming around...

Never had any problems at the camp grounds we have gone to for driving stakes into the ground. Must be at one of those those high end places with lots of rules posted... Have never gone to one of those before...
We like to only go where our neighbors look like this...
