- mowinExplorerBelieve it on not, but not everyone wants/needs to tow a camper. Those doing Lawn care, or towing snowmobiles, or atvs would love this truck.
- dshelleyExplorerI like it. Great combination of size, power, and creature comfort for a lot of people, especially city dwellers who have to deal with ever smaller parking spaces.

It will be interesting to see the actual MPG. That could influence sales, maybe.
I believe the mid 30's MPG numbers being documented and turned in by the second party testers that work with my stepson are a good indication of what to expect. He has no reason to make up the numbers

Good initiative but a bit late to the party. RAM stole the show with its new diesel in the 1500. Size asside there is no advantage going diesel in the midsize truck.
I bet the will sell less than predicted.
Maybe...it's an entirely new market...
I am in wait and see mode. I think the upgrade price is too high. But we will see what the market can handle.
Thanks!

I bet the will sell less than predicted. - ricaticExplorerThanks for posting the link...We have been waiting for pricing info for over a month now...Deb gets a new truck this fall to replace her very last Ford...a 2016 Colorado/Canyon with a DuraMax...
As an aside, Deb's son works at GM and drove one of these trucks for over a month. He really liked it...and the guys driving them in a long term reliability/drive ability test were getting 37 miles per gallon highway. When we talked with him about a GM twin midi, he said "wait for the diesel, it will be worth it"...
Looking forward to getting that last Blue Oval out of the driveway...

So 7700# dead weight behind the bumper, but how about payload #'s? 7700 is worthless if the payload cap is only 7-800 lbs.
Here is a payload sticker from a loaded 2wd LT Colorado Crew Cab V6...the diesel should be similar.
Thanks!
Jeremiah - FlatBrokeExplorer IIIf diesel continues to be cheaper than gas there will be people that will justfie them.
- Fast_MoparExplorerVery interesting. This engine choice makes an already great mid size pickup even better, if you like diesels. GM will sell a bunch of these.
