it is my understanding that when looking at the F250 if you can find the camper package you'll gain several hundreds of pounds of payload.
No that's not the case. F250s have 2 GVWRs, 10,000 and 9900lbs and they have nothing to do with the camper package. I have the camper package and my GVWR is 9900lbs.
Payload is calculated GVWR less curb weight.
Actually, if any thing, the camper package will decrease the payload by approx 38lbs as a result of the weight of the overload springs and rear sway bar.
