Anyway, with either HD truck you'll do just fine. However, it is my understanding that when looking at the F250 if you can find the camper package you'll gain several hundreds of pounds of payload.
I never did understand the recommendations of purchasing more truck than necessary. Not everyone moves to a bigger trailer and some go to a smaller one. Not everyone purchases a 5 bedroom starter home just in case they get married and have kids sometime in the future.
Generally speaking a 5BR house will almost always cost more than a 3BR house, comparability equipped. But an HD truck does not always cost more than a 1/2 ton,comparability equipped. So from a pricing perspective, it makes sense to look at an HD truck. And that is my point.
