Another personal reason why I went with the Ford was political. I really appreciate Ford not taking a bailout in 2008/09. For that reason I try to support Ford when possible. Saying that, I don't blame Chrysler for their bailout as much as I blame GM. Chrysler was depleted by Daimler and its new investors (Cerberus) couldn't maintain the company in combination with the market melt down. GM however allowed itself to get rundown. I know I just started WWIII but that's just my opinion.
At least do your homework before spouting off. It was not a pretty time in American history for ALL, not just a few.
Good read
Now having said that, our new RV didn't have the PSD upgrade option :B just the normal everyday powertrain.... Cummins with a Allison I might add.
Ford actually took a $5.9 Billion loan for development of green energy. That loan is being repaid with interest from Sept 2012- June 2022. The American people will actually make money off Ford.
Green Energy Loan
Ford loan info
On the other hand- GM actually lost the American taxpayer $11.2 Billion after everything was said and done.
GM cost America 11.2 Billion
Don't believe the GM bots trying to put Ford in the same box.
