My wife and I are 66 and 65 and get up and down from the overhead bed without to much effort. Most of our (or should I say mine) is trying to get around a 34# mini Labradoodle pup of ours. She is my dog and wants to snuggle right up next to me all night long. I got down one night and I must of put my knee on her ear as she let out a yelp and moved. She started giving me more room to get down since then. It must really hurt as she never lets a peep out of her.
