I also painted back side of rear wings flat black to eliminate the glare. I did add a switch on cab third brake light but dont think that would be a good idea on tailights-unless you had an absoluete fail safe way to remember turning back on when camper off. Suppose a clever fella could fab something that loading camper auto disconnected truck tailights, pressure switch in bed, switch on 7 pin plug lid, plunger switch.
In any case on newer truck, turning off tailights might need to turn on dummy load? But black paint was sufficant for me.
I assume this is at night? I added backup lights to camper that are tied to camper taillight backup 'indicators' lights (all there good for). Simple tractor sealed beams hung from bumper.
