Bathroom fan

Just bought a 1999 Terry 725R, when the previous owner was demonstrating its features he said "It has a bathroom fan" as he clicked the button, the fan blade shattered. "I mean, it HAD a bathroom fan...". Anyone know what model or size fan blade I need? I found plenty on amazon but they have the tiniest of differences such as a hundredth of inch difference in bore hole.
  • I replaced my bathroom fan with a Fantastic.

    Works great.

If I want ventilation anywhere in the trailer I open a window near where I want ventilation turn on the Fantastic in exhaust mode.
  • Here's a vote for the Vortex 2 replacement fan. It's a simple installation and works well.
  • there are about four different blades for these little motors, you just have two options, take the fan out and take it to the dealer to get the right one or take the fan out and replace it with a good one such as a fantastic fan.
  • The blade shattering is actually pretty common. (Funny timing, though.)

That style fan really doesn't DO a whole lot though, even when they're working. I 2nd replacing it with Fantastic or Maxx Air type fans. They actually work.

If you don't want to spend as much money and don't care about the extra features that Fantastic and Maxx Air have, here are a couple less expensive options:
    Vortex 1 (single speed)
Vortex 2 (multiple speeds with reverse)

The quality of those isn't as good as Fantastic or Maxx Air, but they're far more effective than the little fan with the shattering blades. (I put one in the bathroom of my trailer. I have a Fantastic Fan in the main area though.)
  • Rather than trying to fix that old relic, get a Fan-tastic. Less noise, more air

Others can give advise here, but a lot of folks convert the old style fans to super quiet computer fans, like 100mm size. They're 12v too so you just need some modification skills to mount it and simply wire it in. The advantage is the lack of noise. They can be had for a few bucks online.

Other option is to junk the setup you have and go to a Fantastic Fan, or Maxx Air setup, both are great but that requires replacing the entire vent assembly. Great way to go though!
