bathroom vent cover

We recently bought a cover for our bathroom vent. According to the instructions, the cover almost sits on the roof. Well, the vent pipe is next to the exhaust fan frame and the cover wont sit close to the roof. I can make it work if it sits about 1" off the roof. Will this be a problem traveling down the road sitting that high off of the roof?

My vent fan had the sewer stack real close also. I did a small part circle cut into the cover to get the clearance. Does not affect the function of the cover and allows it to sit flush. it was just on the flange part.

I am thinking that is what I will do. That way the cover will sit closer to the roof and there wont be much uplift when driving down the road. Thanks for your info....

My thoughts exactly. Trim the Maxx Air vent cover until it sits flush on the roof.

My wife leaned on our Maxx Air bathroom vent cover while installing our trailer cover in the fall and cracked it. It was 3 years old. The replacement came by UPS yesterday, so that's my latest project.

  • Maxxair bathroom roof vent fan cover. I meant the exhaust fan cover. With this product, you can have the vent open while it is raining and the rainwater wont come in. Plus it protects the original cover from possible hail damage. The sewer vent is real close to the fan cover.
