Parallax 8300 series (formerly 7300 series) are single-stage output converters providing a single voltage output of 13.8 VDC to the DC system for load and battery charging.
For a more modern multi-stage upgrade, consider the Inteli-Power 4600 series or the Ultra III. These units will vary the voltage output depending on the State of Charge of the house batteries for faster charging and will greatly extend battery life.
