I just did a twin 6 volt deep cycle conversion to my TT from a group 24 65 ah battery since we mostly dry camp. I now have 232 ah. I got these new batteries for free because my neighbour sold his TT before he even had a chance to install them. I had to fabricate and weld up a new battery tray for them and solder additional length of wires to the existing wires to reach the terminals. This added additional tongue weight so I had to reduce storage weight at the front of my trailer.
I'm considering the 2 x 6v conversion as well, wish I could get free batteries! Would probably go to 6v with an inverter next spring, a little late in the season now IMO. luckily i have room for a second battery, so wouldn't need much modification.
