I'm thinking of doing a similar project in my BF 10.6. I wish I had that basement compartment. No such luck though.
I'm going to put them inside the camper, under the dinette. I have a storage door with enough room for 2 group 31's. From there it should be a short run to the converter.
When you did yours, how did you tie in the existing wiring with your relocated batteries? My battery shut off is near the outside compartment, on the other side of the camper from the new location.
Did you have a wiring diagram to design your install? Like placement and size of fuses? I've read 12v side of life, but the diagram is very basic..
Is a Battery isolator needed?
