New trailer, new batteries. I have 2- 6 volts in series. Any suggestion on the switch type an how to wire the switch in to work. Suggestion on securing batteries without taking home while in storage...

I suspect that 2-6 volt batteries are less likely to be stolen than 12 volt batteries. Still, anything you can do to make YOUR batteries harder to steal than those of the next guy is all you need to do. As someone wiser than I pointed out once, thieves tend to be lazy and will go for the easiest mark. Don't be that easy mark.
