I have a 1.5mA Stanley on my Excursion. it has worked great. I hard wired the connector to the battery (it comes with terminals for this). I then just plug the tender into the 12V connector. mine has a magnetic base and I stick it on the front bumper with an outlet next to the truck. I could even mount it on the wall. I also have a Harbor Freight .75mA tender for my snowmobile. this one plugs into the wall and the long wire plugs into the sled that is hardwired to the battery. this one has worked great.
I just picked up a small one that doesn`t have a mA rating from HF it is small and cheap I would guess it is less than .25mA, it is for the riding lawnmower. ill see how that I in the spring!
