Nope, CHP doesn't carry scales in their cruisers.
It is DOT officer in pickup with CHP marking on it that does.
I was impress when one could give me printout of my commercial registration coming from back of his pickup
DOT will not have CHP markings....unless they are CHP doing DOT work. In Oregon, OSP carries scales in their own division.
