You will probably end up with too much weight on it. I'm with you in trying to do it on the cheap but it may not be practical. An rv located in a cheap park can probably be done for $250 to $350 a month plus electric in some states. The difference is that people are doing it and moving with the seasons.
In up sate NY it's probably possible to go with out ac in the summer but you would suck propane like crazy in the winter. In Florida it's possible to make do with little heating in the winter but you will need 2 ac units in the summer.
Renting a room may be a good option for now.
