- brianpearceExplorerI'll vote for Line-X as well. Had it 18 years on my 1997 Ford F250 and it still looked great when I traded it. Also had it sprayed onto my new 2015 F350. No experience with other sprays but would prefer spray in over plastic liner any day.
- Jim102ExplorerThanks for all the advice.......You guys/gals are always a great help..
Jim - OH48LtExplorer$375 is a good price for a name-brand spray-in liner. Make sure that is what you're getting from the dealer, and be clear what is being sprayed and how they are doing it. For that price, it should cover up to the top of the bed rails, and the tailgate if it is painted. Have them take tie-downs and bed bolts out, and re-install after they are done. Most dealers take it somewhere to have it done, but I would be leery of Bubba doing it out in the back shop at the dealer. I like Line-X, but the newer Rhino liner is nice too.
- SlownsyExplorerHave a look at the Bead Rug I am not impressed with the spray in liners I have sean.
Frank. - Need-A-VacationExplorerLine X owner here. Have had it for almost 3yrs on our '13 Chevy and still looks great. Though the truck does have a topper, and is garage kept when at home. Nationwide warranty also.
The dealer price is pretty good, but check to see if they are doing it or taking it somewhere.... Our '10 Chevy we were told it was a Line X, but on the invoice it just stated "spray in liner". Turns out the dealer took it to a "place" that was doing liners. Still had a "lifetime warranty", though that only lasted for a couple years as the place went out of business!!! So do your homework on the dealer liner!!!
Good luck! - I've yet to see a spray in bed liner that looks good after a few years exposed to heat, UV/Sun.
For years I use a simple rubber bed mat that I purchase from a dealer. When it start to look tired I roll it up pitch and buy a new one. - hbillsmithExplorerI just bought the OEM rubber mat. Its thick and heavy and cushions the bed beneath my 5er hitch. Easy to pull out and wash. Plus got it online for $75 no tax, free ship.
- ROBERTSUNRUSExplorer:) Hi, my new 2014 F-150 is my first truck with a spray on bed liner. I got Line-X and like it. Although I consider my truck as a pretty truck and want to keep it nice, my wife has projects. I have hauled lumber, plants, camping/trailer stuff, concrete blocks, and my last two loads were rocks. I swept it out and hosed it off and it still looks great. If you can get a Line-X or Rhino liner for that price, go for it.
- spoon059Explorer IISpray in is a great option. My only concerns might be the warranty on the liner. If you buy it yourself (at an elevated cost, I'm sure), you usually get a lifetime warranty from Line-X or Rhino Liner. If you buy it from the dealer, you will likely only get the 3 year standard warranty.
I have Line-X in my Tundra and had problems with it gouging and chipping off. I used it as a truck, so I threw gravel in there, firewood, logs, stone, etc. I had gouges and chunks missing from my liner. I would have gotten it fixed eventually, but ended up selling the truck.
For my Ram I bought the BedRug BedTred series. Looks like a spray in liner, but it is removeable, it is softer to protect cargo, still nice and durable and has a lifetime warranty.
For $375, you are getting a good deal. That is roughly what my BedTred cost me.
