- OH48LtExplorer$375 is a good price for a name-brand spray-in liner. Make sure that is what you're getting from the dealer, and be clear what is being sprayed and how they are doing it. For that price, it should cover up to the top of the bed rails, and the tailgate if it is painted. Have them take tie-downs and bed bolts out, and re-install after they are done. Most dealers take it somewhere to have it done, but I would be leery of Bubba doing it out in the back shop at the dealer. I like Line-X, but the newer Rhino liner is nice too.
- Jim102ExplorerThanks for all the advice.......You guys/gals are always a great help..
Jim - brianpearceExplorerI'll vote for Line-X as well. Had it 18 years on my 1997 Ford F250 and it still looked great when I traded it. Also had it sprayed onto my new 2015 F350. No experience with other sprays but would prefer spray in over plastic liner any day.
- MinnCamperExplorerLine X twice for me.
- SouthpawHDExplorerI just called a few local places around me (not many places do it), and the prices range from $400-500+. So if you are getting quoted $375, make your appointment NOW!!!
- fj12ryderExplorer IIII'd check out the quality of your dealer's liners, and definitely go with a spray-in liner. I like the solid texture of the Line-X over the rubbery texture of the Rhino. The Line-X can be a bit more slippery, but I also think it doesn't fade as badly as the Rhino.
- ImpkittiExplorerWe have put spray-in liners in our last 3 trucks. We have had both Rhino-liner and Line-X and I cannot say one is better than the other. I would look for an installer with a good reputation.
One bit of advice - do not pay extra for a matching color. For our last truck, we went with the extra money for a red liner to match the truck. When we sold it 8 years later to move up to a bigger truck, the liner had faded badly and unevenly. The exposed areas ranged from white to orange and a few random,un-namable colors in between. It was still mostly red where the toolbox sat. The liner was in good shape, the color was just very bad - the_bear_IIExplorerI have LineX using a B&W companion turn over ball hitch setup.
Haven't had other spray liners so no way to compare.
LineX has been good on mine since 2007 - rhagfoExplorer IIII have never seen a spray in sitting on the side of the road! :B
