The first thing I did when we purchased our 5'er was to order a new queen gel memory foam mattress. Then put the bed spread, decorative pillows, shams in a shrink bag and stored it in the closet floor.
I got a comforter that I like that matched the decor, put the new mattress in and I LOVE my bed. We spend 100+ days in it each year and it has worked great for us for the past two years.
