Soundguy you must never have purchased a problem trailer. Those of us that have sympathize with the OP.
To the OP, it sounds like you have a Schwintek slide. My brother has one and it has been a nightmare as well. The trim popping off, the damaged floor, window not closing, torn seals are all results of the Schwintek system not operating properly. Often the problem is not all Schwinteks fault, it can be the slide was not aligned properly when it was installed not allowing the system to sync properly.
Don't do what my brother did and let them fool around with it while under warranty without a guarantee that it is fixed. His second year when the trailer was out of warranty the slide had to be removed, all 4 of the external tracks had to be replaced, motors replaced, seals replaced and then the slide reinstalled. Schwintek paid for the parts, he ate a $1200.00 labor bill.
Be firm, be polite, but don't let them screw you.
