Your F150 can tow a TT with a dry weight of under 6000 pounds the Toyota quite a bit less. Check the weight of any TT you are considering. Remember that the total weight your truck says it can tow includes everything- people, animals, food, water, even the fuel. Our TT weighs 5500 empty and it is 30ft and a 2005. Light weight TT are out there.
Just bought a new 6570lb Keystone with 890lb hitch weight and will be towing it with my 2012 F150 EB with standard towing package (7200lb/1200). So with kids and gear I will be over my max payload by a bit. I've seen many people pull bigger trailers then this with a half ton so I'm not too worried about it. We plan on making some fairly long trips this spring so I'll be sure to post my experience.
