First of all welcome!
One thing I had to deal with that I have not seen mentioned so far is storage. Make sure to check and make sure you have the space and legal ability to store your camper at home, or that you find and price a storage facility where you can keep it. Otherwise I see lots of good advise here.
When we started on our hunt we read a whole lot here and in the Begining Rving section. There is also a book out there called "So you want to be an Rver". I think is the title. It's low cost and I found it a helpful bit of reading.
