Benefits of owning a truck camper

I thought I'd start up this thread for the benefit of newbies and those who are thinking about purchasing a truck camper. So what are the benefits of owing a truck camper? I was able to come up with eleven:

1. Unmatched Versatility (can tow and be unloaded at campsite)
2. No Registration or Insurance Fees (in most cases)
3. Superb Maneuverability
4. Easy to Drive
5. Outstanding Boondocking Capability
6. Cheaper to Maintain
7. Better Fuel Economy
8. Easy to Store
9. Great Bug-Out Vehicle
10. Upgrade Independence
11. Excellent Depreciation Value

Really? Who is your insurance company?

Mike - I have always thought having the Truck Camper would be my final setup...

It just never worked out for us...

With just the two us now the Truck Camper has abit more room then we currently have with our OFF-ROAD POPUP setup.

The Truck Camper would offer another layer of security also compared to what my current OFF-ROAD setup does for us.

I have too much junk to bring along and there is question what to do about running around the neighborhood after you setup somewhere.

I know some folks might drop the camper and use the truck but it just doesn't really sound like a good idea to run off an leave your camper shell sitting on the ground in a strange location.

I would definitely have to bring along a utility trailer behind my Truck Camper.

As for as having all the comforts of home and ability to keep all of my toys and things I love to do on my trip I know the truck camper would be perfect for us...
